About PARIS

In 1997, I moved to Paris along with my best friend to study art, unaware that the journey would change my life. I took an apartment on the rue Jean-Jacques Rouseau, next to Louboutin, and spent afternoons wandering the Collones du Jardin and knew that one day I would be a part of the community of artists and designers who’ve made their name along its corridors. At the time, the Corto brand was just a vague dream relegated to my sketchpad, design ideas, a collection of doodles, notes, and inspirations, but they began to slowly take shape and when the brand was launched, the stars aligned for me to find the perfect home for Corto in the Palais Royal

The design of the shop reflects the heart of the Corto brand, Pop Luxe Chic, with a spirit of legacy while creating something bold and new. Thus, I incorporated recycled materials, wooden crates, with the contribution of artists Berthold Horbelt and Wolfgang Winter who created an installation “Crate House” where people could gather, converse, while seeing the world through recycled industrial plastic crates.

About MILAN

The Milan store is an extension of the Corto spirit with our signature Corto stripes and features my personal piano, a tribute to my love of music, and my favorite Lalanne chandelier. With an eclectic décor, commitment to design through recycled materials through its use of antiquated marble floors and finishing to create a modern Italian palazzo atmosphere, and situated in the heart of Santo Spirito, Milan’s high end shopping district, the 110 square meter boutique is set to be a hub of modern art and style in the fashion capital of the world.
